20" Solid Teak Side Table with Drawer (DR-1323-24) by Moe's Home Collection

Solid Teak Side Table with Drawer and Iron Shelf
The Joliet side table from Moe's Home Collection is built on a material contrast that works cleanly: a solid teak wood top and single drawer sitting on a black iron frame with a lower shelf. The teak brings warm blonde-to-amber grain. The iron frame brings structure and graphic edge. Neither material competes with the other; they make a case for each other instead.
The single drawer rides on smooth glides and gives the side table closed storage for small items that would otherwise crowd the top. The lower iron shelf handles the overflow: a book, a basket, anything that benefits from being accessible but off the main surface. At 20 inches square and 24 inches tall, the proportions work beside a sofa, a reading chair, or as a bedside table in a room where the aesthetic runs warm and natural. Teak grain varies piece to piece, which is the nature of solid wood.
Organic Modern Side Table in Warm Teak and Black Iron
The Joliet earns its Organic Modern placement through the pairing of honest materials handled with restraint. Natural teak against black iron is a combination that anchors without drama. It fits rooms that mix wood floors, linen, concrete, and other materials that are already doing the heavier aesthetic work. The table is content to be useful and quietly present.

Moe's Home Collection:Forty Years of Furniture With a Point of View
Some brands earn trust loudly. Moe's has never needed to. The evidence shows up in rooms, season after season, in pieces that end up feeling more considered than their owners quite anticipated. More grounded. More alive.
That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decided, a long time ago, that material and craft were worth the extra conversation, and never really stopped having it.
A Design House, Not a Furniture Factory
The Pieces Feel Found - Not Simply Bought

The Origin
A Family That BuiltSomething From Nothing
Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.
In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.
His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.
The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.
The goal was never perfection. It was presence.

The Craft
Material First - Trend Second
Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.
The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.
The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.
- Moe's does not source furniture. It curates it.
