20" Dark Brown Stacked Side Table (FC-1025-20) by Moe's Home Collection

Dark Brown Oak Cylinder Pedestal Side Table | 21 Inch | Side Table
The form is a cylinder -- a single round drum of dark brown oak veneer, flat on top, with no legs, no stretchers, no additional structure. The entire side table is the cylinder. At 20 inches across and 21 inches high the form reads at the seating position as a compact, dark, sculptural object placed beside the chair or sofa -- the dark brown tone grounding the piece at the seating zone, the round form providing visual softness that a rectangular side table with legs does not. The absence of legs is the design choice: the cylinder sits as a dense, self-contained volume rather than an elevated surface above visible structure.
In the living room the dark brown cylinder side table reads as the seating arrangement's settled dark accent at floor and side-table height -- the round form distinct and deliberate, its shadow on the floor a perfect circle that marks the piece's position as a composed object rather than a utilitarian surface. In morning directional light the oak veneer grain reads through the dark stain as a warm material undertone, the circular top catching the light as a flat, warm-dark surface. In warm lamplight the dark brown deepens, the cylinder reading as a near-black settled form at the lamp's base -- or holding a glass at the seating position's arm height.
At 21 inches high the surface sits at the upper end of standard lounge chair arm height -- appropriate beside a low sofa seat or a generous lounge chair where the arm is at or slightly below 21 inches. The round 20-inch footprint is compact enough for tight living room placements. The oak veneer surface is for interior use; maintain with a light wood-care product. The cylinder form pairs naturally with the companion round coffee table from this series for a coordinated living room arrangement sharing the same cylindrical form vocabulary.

Moe's Home Collection:Forty Years of Furniture With a Point of View
Some brands earn trust loudly. Moe's has never needed to. The evidence shows up in rooms, season after season, in pieces that end up feeling more considered than their owners quite anticipated. More grounded. More alive.
That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decided, a long time ago, that material and craft were worth the extra conversation, and never really stopped having it.
A Design House, Not a Furniture Factory
The Pieces Feel Found - Not Simply Bought

The Origin
A Family That BuiltSomething From Nothing
Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.
In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.
His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.
The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.
The goal was never perfection. It was presence.
Moe's Is Built for PeopleWho Notice the Difference

The Craft
Material First - Trend Second
Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.
The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.
The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.
- Moe's does not source furniture. It curates it.
