20" Blue Tapestry Storage Ottoman (OA-1112-26) by Moe's Home Collection

Blue Tapestry Skirted Storage Ottoman | 18 Inch | Storage Ottoman
The gathered skirt is the form's character. Fabric pleated in fine folds running from the top edge to the floor, hiding the plywood base structure entirely and giving the piece its rounded, full silhouette at the ground. The tapestry fabric runs across every surface -- the pleated skirt, the rounded top cushion -- in a dense blue and cream botanical print, fine-scale florals and foliage rendered in muted steel-blue against a pale ground. The pattern is the kind that reads as a composition from across a room rather than a specific motif: complex, slightly faded in tone, the blue botanical print occupying a vintage register that a solid or stripe fabric would not approach. The storage function is practical and discreet -- the lid lifts to reveal the interior, the tapestry pattern running continuously over the hinged seam without interruption.
At a bedroom chair or window seat position the tapestry skirt and botanical print introduce a traditional material note that most contemporary furniture avoids. This is the choice for rooms that run in an eclectic, collected direction -- rooms where a single piece in a traditional printed fabric creates the impression of accumulated personality rather than designed cohesion. In morning light the blue botanical print reads at its most detailed, the fine foliage and floral forms visible as a composed surface pattern. In warm lamplight the muted blue-grey tone settles, the print deepening slightly toward a richer cool range.
At 20 by 20 and 18.5 inches high the scale is compact -- a footrest beside an armchair, a low seat beside a vanity, a surface for folded throws in a bedroom corner. The storage interior accommodates throws, small pillows, or seasonal items. The polyester fabric spot-cleans with a damp cloth.

Moe's Home Collection:Forty Years of Furniture With a Point of View
Some brands earn trust loudly. Moe's has never needed to. The evidence shows up in rooms, season after season, in pieces that end up feeling more considered than their owners quite anticipated. More grounded. More alive.
That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decided, a long time ago, that material and craft were worth the extra conversation, and never really stopped having it.
A Design House, Not a Furniture Factory
The Pieces Feel Found - Not Simply Bought

The Origin
A Family That BuiltSomething From Nothing
Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.
In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.
His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.
The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.
The goal was never perfection. It was presence.
Moe's Is Built for PeopleWho Notice the Difference

The Craft
Material First - Trend Second
Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.
The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.
The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.
- Moe's does not source furniture. It curates it.
