15" Black Accent Table (QJ-1018-02-0) by Moe's Home Collection

Dark Terrazzo Accent Table with Slim Metal Stem and Round Top | 22 Inch | Side or Drink Table
The piece is built in three parts that could not be more different from each other: a substantial terrazzo cylinder at the base, dark grey ground with colorful mineral aggregate visible across the surface; a thin black metal stem extending upward from the cylinder's center; and a small flat round black disc at the top. The base is heavy and textured, the stem is nearly nothing, the top is flat and minimal. The contrast between the aggregate richness of the terrazzo and the spare geometry of the stem and disc is the design - the three elements do not match, and that deliberateness is what makes the piece work.
At 22 inches this sits at drink table height - useful beside a chair or sofa for a single object, a glass, a book, a small lamp. The footprint is compact at 15 by 15 inches, which means it occupies almost no floor space while the terrazzo base provides considerable visual presence. The dark ground of the base carries aggregate speckle in orange, white, and grey tones - close-up the texture reads as mineral and complex; from across the room it reads as a dark cylinder beneath a black disc. At 28.18 lbs it is light enough to reposition easily. Some assembly required.

Moe's Home Collection:Forty Years of Furniture With a Point of View
Some brands earn trust loudly. Moe's has never needed to. The evidence shows up in rooms, season after season, in pieces that end up feeling more considered than their owners quite anticipated. More grounded. More alive.
That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decided, a long time ago, that material and craft were worth the extra conversation, and never really stopped having it.
A Design House, Not a Furniture Factory
The Pieces Feel Found - Not Simply Bought

The Origin
A Family That BuiltSomething From Nothing
Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.
In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.
His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.
The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.
The goal was never perfection. It was presence.
Moe's Is Built for PeopleWho Notice the Difference

The Craft
Material First - Trend Second
Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.
The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.
The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.
- Moe's does not source furniture. It curates it.
