Description

Deep Bronze Cast Aluminum Pedestal Side Table | 11 Inch | Side Table

A single continuous cast aluminum form: a wide disc top that flares outward above a tapered cone column that broadens again toward the floor. The profile is a mushroom silhouette -- narrow at the waist, wider at both ends -- and the whole piece reads as a found sculptural object rather than as manufactured furniture. The deep bronze finish is very dark, close to near-black, with warm bronze undertones visible under direct light. In ambient light it reads as a dark accent; in evening lamplight the warm bronze quality emerges from the surface where the light strikes the top edge of the disc.

At 11 by 11 by 22 inches the footprint is minimal -- this is an occasional table that places close to a chair or sofa without claiming floor space. The narrow column means the table can be positioned tight to a seat without requiring a full side table's clearance. The disc top, while only 11 inches across, is sufficient for a drink, a small lamp, or a book. What the piece contributes beyond function is presence: cast aluminum in this form and this finish reads as a considered material choice rather than as a utilitarian surface.

In a room with other warm metals -- brass, aged bronze, dark iron -- the deep bronze connects without requiring a precise finish match. Against pale upholstery or natural textiles the dark form reads clearly. At 7.9 pounds it moves easily, which means it functions as a repositionable accent as much as a fixed side table.

Moe's Home Collection:Forty Years of Furniture With a Point of View

Some brands earn trust loudly. Moe's has never needed to. The evidence shows up in rooms, season after season, in pieces that end up feeling more considered than their owners quite anticipated. More grounded. More alive.

That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decided, a long time ago, that material and craft were worth the extra conversation, and never really stopped having it.

The Pieces Feel Found - Not Simply Bought

The Origin

A Family That BuiltSomething From Nothing

Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.

In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.

His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.

The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.

The goal was never perfection. It was presence.

The Craft

Material First - Trend Second

Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.

The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.

The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.

- Moe's does not source furniture. It curates it.
