Description

Lula Dining Chairs in Black Vegan Leather with a Sculpted Bucket Back, Set of Two

The Lula chair reads slim from the front and more substantial in the side profile, which is the view that matters once it is pulled up to a table. The black vegan leather wraps a sculpted seat shell with a back that narrows toward a gently tapered peak at the top, covering the entire form in one unbroken surface with only a single seam visible at the spine. No buttons, no tufting, nothing to interrupt the quiet continuity of the skin. Four tapered black iron legs angle slightly outward beneath the seat, giving the piece its stance. The absence of arms keeps the chair's footprint compact at 18 inches wide, which matters at a table where visual density accumulates quickly.

The Lula Dining Chair from Moe's Home Collection stands 31.9 inches tall at 18 inches wide and 23.4 inches deep. The 23.4-inch depth provides genuine seat depth, and the molded foam over plywood shell holds its form without the variation of a hand-filled cushion. At 28 lbs per pair the chairs are easy to position. Sold as a set of two. The black finish sits well in rooms that favor restraint in upholstery, where the chair form reads cleanly without drawing attention to its surface.

Moe's Home Collection:Forty Years of Furniture With a Point of View

Some brands earn trust loudly. Moe's has never needed to. The evidence shows up in rooms, season after season, in pieces that end up feeling more considered than their owners quite anticipated. More grounded. More alive.

That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decided, a long time ago, that material and craft were worth the extra conversation, and never really stopped having it.

The Pieces Feel Found - Not Simply Bought

The Origin

A Family That BuiltSomething From Nothing

Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.

In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.

His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.

The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.

The goal was never perfection. It was presence.

The Craft

Material First - Trend Second

Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.

The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.

The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.

- Moe's does not source furniture. It curates it.
