Why We Love the Lanterna Pendant
Marta Laudani and Marco Romanelli have masterfully crafted two lamps, Lanterna and Lanternina, that seemingly defy the laws of physics by encapsulating light within a casing made of air. Despite their differing sizes, both models share a pure and elegant form, comprising two bell-shaped Murano glass diffusers nested one within the other.
The outer diffuser, made of transparent glass, houses the inner sand-blasted diffuser, which contains the light source. This ingenious design creates a captivating interplay of light and shadow, as the frosted inner shade softly diffuses the illumination, while the clear outer shade frames it with pristine clarity.
